Customers often ask what made our founder, Maria, get into this line of work. After 25+ years in corporate leadership, she discovered a passion for solving a very real problem.

Back in 2018, while renovating an investment property, Maria couldn't find a reliable hauling company: no returned calls, no-shows for appointments, and no fair estimates. Frustrated, she bought a “not so pretty” truck and hauled the construction debris herself.

One day she looked out at that truck and thought, “I bet there's someone else like me who needs stuff hauled away and can't find anyone to do it.” She placed a $5 Craigslist ad — no company name, no logo — and the phone immediately started ringing.

When family asked what she'd call the business, she ran her finger across the side of the truck and said, “She Does Hauling.” She had the truck wrapped, and a brand was born.

She Does Hauling is now a certified Minority Business Enterprise, a First Look & Stop Program Vendor for the U.S. Air Force and Army, and a 2020 Comcast RISE Investment Fund award winner — with 25,000+ social followers, a network of 35+ professional contractors, and consistent 5-star reviews across Central Pennsylvania and the Northeast.
